”Pillemasar”-hunt in Karlskrona

We have joust driven in to Motala County and are one day ahead in schedule. Our plans are to take it a little bit more easily the last days on our way home. We were attacked by heavily rain for the first time on our trip when we were fuelling at the side of the road. The water turned in to steam when it hit the hot parts of the producer and pipes and it looked really cool.

Jörgen got a test ride in the car this morning. Then we left Biskobsberg drove into Karlskrona. Me and Martin have made our military crevice in Karlskrona and we wanted to show where we spent many of our days to Micke.

First of all we wanted to show him “Pillemasare”. Pillemasare is small shipyard workers that work in Karlskronavarvet (A military shipyard). We came in to Karlskrona in lunchtime, so we started looking at “Klockgrillen” – a famous hamburger resturant. We found a bunch of Pillemasare at once, sitting and eating outside the restaurant. We made a flyby and continued down towards the military base. Across Varvs-street came one more pillemasare at high speed on his bicycle, wearing blue Kockums clothing. We drove around the clock-tower and Martin picked up the camera. When we made the turn up on Vall-street, a commodore captain in high speed almost rammed us. I made a quick manoeuvre to avoid the commodore while Martin aimed the camera towards the pillemasare. We got a really good picture and the pillemasare are now a part of our photo album.

We visited Rosenbom, a sculpture in front of the navy church. Micke gave him some money, just like the tradition prescribes. We continued to the Navy museum and stayed there for a while. There’s lots of nice old ships to see, like Missile boats, Minesweepers an Torpedo boats.
When you’re in Karlskrona, you must visit “Glasiären” – a famous ice-cream bar where you get very big ice-creams. So did we. When we started the trip up to Motala, we saw our selves on the bill. “This car is fuelled with wood”

We have had our first police car behind us on the trip. We hoped to be stopped, but they didn’t bother.
In Vetlanda, we met Roger Johansson. He had a wood powered shower on his car. We discussed the shower for a while and then he hade a ride in our car a coupe of miles.

Click on the picture to see a film when we meet Roger.
