Packing
Time to go to England and a lot of things had to be planned and done to make the car ready for transport to Sweden. The car had to be insured, so I got a Swedish short time import insurance that would cover the transport home. The insurance was more expensive than an ordinary one, but there wasn’t really an alternative.
I managed to find a ferry from England to Sweden (Tilbury to Gothenburg), Saturday the 12th, which could transport the car. It is a fright ferry, but they also take a few passengers. The price is 300£ which is quite reasonable. It includes cabin, food and the trip takes 36 hours. However, I’ll wait with booking it until I know that the car is ok.
The company I worked for is giving me a stay on Wednesday and Thursday while I help them out with some last things on their project. I’m going to stay at a colleague’s place the last night.
I have packed a set of tools together with the carburettor kit that I’m going to need for the gasoline conversion. I also got three vedbil-stickers, my documentation cit (camera, computer etc.) and some nice tapes wit Abba, Lars Berghagen and 70’s-music.
