Its time to make the intake for the fuel/air mixture. I use two 2” exhaust pipes that I have cut and welded to an Y. I’m a little bit worried about corrosion in the pipes but it should hold a while. Then I made connections for the engine, carburettor and gas mixer throttle.
According to the regulations the carburettor intake should be covered or connected with the air intake for the gas mixer. This prevents gas to leak out in the engine compartment. Therefore I built an adapter so I can connect a tubing to the carburettor. The space was just enough between the wall and carburettor. I did not have shorter UNC bolts so I cut the original longer ones and welded nuts on the top of them.
