The potatoes are growing and the tops have come up nicely. As expected there is also a lot of weed because the field held grass last year.

I first cleared the field manually, using a weed hacker. It’s time consuming but necessary. Both the potato tops and surrounding soil gets more light, creating a warmer climate for the potatoes.

Finally I earthed up the potato land, using the tractor.
